In an interview with Taste of Country, Wallen's manager, Michael Knox, revealed that the cheese pizza was actually part of an experiment the singer was doing with his bandmates.

'We were in the studio and we were trying to come up with ideas for dinner,' Knox said. 'Someone said, 'What about gluten-free cheese?' And Morgan was like, 'I don't know, I've never had that.''

Knox said that they decided to order a gluten-free cheese pizza and see how it tasted.

'It was actually really good,' he said. 'But we never talked about it again.'

So, there you have it. Morgan Wallen's brief experiment with gluten-free cheese was just that - an experiment.
