 A Banana Free Year Responsible for Inspection Robot Workers to Microwave a Cow 

 

ROCKMAR - Jan 19,2023 - Not long ago, peace and tranquility persevered throughout the entire island of Rockmar. Inhabitants of the island report having been content, thriving off the comfort and nourishment of their beloved bananas.

  


The local authorities report that the purchase and consumption of the last banana was exactly a year to the day that led to the cow/microwave incident. Witnesses of the riots that ensued claim to have been harshly interrogated by the local inspection robot workers yet were unable to provide any insight into why the banana supply had dried up.

 

After months of unrest and bouts of violence, end-of-day banana cults began to develop across the commonwealth of Rockmar. Ex-cult member Joanna Beaumont of Rockmar recalls, “They promised that the bananas would return in the summer, but it was all a lie!” Joanna proceeded to break down in tears and lamented in the dust.

 

The most recent sequence of developments has an already weary local population unnerved, as inspection robot workers designed to inspect the color and quality of stored bananas have become self-aware, attempting to justify their continued purpose.

  

“We’ve decided the best course of action would be to microwave a cow,” said P7510 of the station 8 banana warehouse facility. When I, your humble reporter, pressed the inspection robot workers about its reasoning behind such action and how that would cool the tempers of the rioting population, it explained, “Calm or cook, if a cow can fit into the microwave system, so can people mad at inspection robot workers.”

  

With that answer, I thought it best not to further annoy the robot workers and went back to the shabby accommodations provided to me by my superiors. Will the island of Rockmar ever get back to its state of tranquility, and will the bananas ever come back to the entitled yet simple-minded population? We’ll have to wait and see.
